Granbury Wine Walk Info

Wine Walk, what you need to know from a group of girls who've already done it!!
  •  Get tickets! Tickets include a wine walk themed glass that each winery will fill for tastings. www.granburywinewalk.com/purchase-tickets/
  • Wear comfy shoes and prepare for weather- heat, sun, rain, etc. All tasting, shopping booths, etc are outside.
  • I highly recommend Hotel Lucy (very girly and glam, has a boutique gift shop and pool) or The Granbury (above Reds Boutique on the square), but any Air BNB on/near the square would be awesome. Being able to walk to your room after tasting 17 wines is helpful. The Hilton is also right on the water and very close to the square.
  • Utilize the Granbury Trolley/trams. Park once and jump on the trolley that stops all over the square, but also makes stops at HomeGoods and other areas of Granbury and it's free.
  • Barons Creek Winery (my fav winery) actually has a storefront on the square that has awesome wine, charcuterie board and flatbread pizzas. If you need a carb to help soak up wine in between tastings, grab a snack there and they have a really cute back patio area with heaters/ fire pits to sit at!
  • D'Vine Wine has a storefront on the square too and has great wine slushies, and their almond champagne is delish. They also have chocolate pairings which is a fun little sweet treat!
  • You can sprinkle the wine walk tastings in with the shops on the square. Pace yourself. Snack, eat, shop, taste.
  • Please, PLEASE make time to try a "Wicked BLT" sandwich from Oz Coffee Bar. I don't care if you don't like bacon or whatever, this sandwich CHANGES LIVES.
  • Great food place is Christina's. You may need reservations or you'll have a wait, but worth the wait. It's the only Boozy Brunch place with mimosas. Expansive wine list, great service, gourmet food.
  • The German restaurant, Ketzler’s Schnitzel Haus & Biergarten,  is well known and delish. Homemade scratch recipes from the German owner. It's going to very busy, reservations are recommended. I highly recommend the Stiegl Grapefruit beer, the pretzel, the sausage sampler, and the Reuben sandwich. If you don't like sauerkraut, still try the sauerkraut! It's different - little bits of bacon and pineapple. Also try a side of the Spatzel, a thick noodle. I'm drooling just typing this. Sometimes German food can be intimidating to order because lots of people don't know we're to start- I'd recommend Oma's meatballs if the Reuben is out.
  • The German restaurant also owns the Fisherman's Corner on the square, and I highly recommend their fish tacos.
  • If wine isn’t your “cup of tea”, there’s lots of other things to do! Food, shopping, and live shows all in Granbury!
  • I’d recommend checking out a show at Granbury Live or The Opera House.
  • Fossil Rim in Glen Rose that’s lots of fun with animals! https://fossilrim.org
  • Definitely get ice cream at Silver Saddle and there’s usually live music every night at Bobs Off The Square.
  • Stop into the Visit Granbury building right on the edge of the square for info and coupons for lots of the Granbury fun stuff.
I hope this helps anyone who's traveling to Granbury for Wine Walk- or ANY weekend for that matter! Food and fun are my passion, and a Granbury weekend getaway with your spouse, girls trip, or bachelorette party checks all the boxes!
